National Geographic is an institution that requires no further introduction. The Dutch edition was in dire need of a better structured and visually more attractive website that was more in line with the international identity of National Geographic. A series of intensive stakeholder meetings I presided led to a new structure, visual design and a completely overhauled navigation system. The challenge was to retain and re-present the massive amount of existing editorials, images and video’s. I was responsible for the high-level site concept / strategy, cooporated with the UX designer on the wireframing and did the visual design.
